Belle Prairie City is an incorporated town in Hamilton County, Illinois, United States. The population was 54 at the 2010 census.[4] It is part of the Mount Vernon Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Belle Prairie City is located in northern Hamilton County at 38°13′11″N 88°33′19″W / 38.21972°N 88.55528°W / 38.21972; -88.55528 (38.219686, -88.555383).[5] It is 24 miles (39 km) southeast of the city of Mount Vernon and 4 miles (6 km) south of Interstate 64 via Exit 100. It is 10 miles (16 km) north of McLeansboro, the Hamilton County seat.
